This is my latest CD release as of March 30, 2007. I titled the album Fiddlin' with Les as a
tribute to Mr. Leslie Sandy, who has been a teacher and mentor to me for the past four
years. Les played twin fiddle on five tracks, and he also played bass on the album. Along with
Les are Steve Creed on mandolin, Huey Priest on banjo, and Eddie Ingram on guitar. We
recorded the album at Mike Rose's Audio Farm Recording Studio in Goldsboro, NC. The
project took about three months to complete.
One of the highlights of this project was recording When the Angels Sing, a song that
Rhonda Vincent co-wrote and recorded on her Rounder album, The Storm Still Rages. It's one
of the first songs that I learned to sing, so it means a lot to me. Rhonda and her brother,
Darrin Vincent (another co-writer), were so kind to let me record this beautiful song. Thanks
Rhonda and Darrin!
